Hhhhmmmm. Not sure what to think of this name. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It's a nice name for an old man, but I can't see a toddler or a teenager named Jasper. Of course, all those old men named Jasper were young at some point.

I am surprised that some people have commented about this being used for a girl, as Jasper is one of the MOST MASCULINE names I know. I like the name Jasper, but I much prefer the German form, Kaspar.

I, being a child of the 90s, tend think of Chuck E. Cheese whenever I hear this name because it was the name of that dog character there. Once I get past that, though, I kind of like it. I would probably use it as a middle name, though.

While this name may not look so nice on paper, the sound of Jasper is one of the most beautiful. I especially like the fact that it belongs to not only one of the 3 Wise men, but also to Jasper Cullen in the Twilight series. Another plus is that it means "treasure." I would consider naming a child this.
