I prefer Kadir or even Qadir so as to avoid the pronunciations KAY-der which sounds to me like "caterer" and KAD-der, which is just plain ugly. The Arabic pronunciation is khaw-DEER, with the gutteral "kh" sound and the stress on the second syllable.-- leananshae 12/29/2007
