Comments for KENNETH:
In my catechism classes I was taught that Kenneth is the Scottish form of the name Canice (pronounced kenees) who was a Christian missionary to both Scotland and Ireland and was believed to have founded the cathedral at Kilkenny.-- pkenny 7/25/2005
I know a lot of people with this name. It's a nice name to have! I love this name. It is the best in this world!-- Anonymous User 8/12/2005

I think this is a nice name for a boy. I am very fond of all the older male and female names. Great name!-- Cassidy 2/20/2006
Kenneth Cole is a designer. I just got sunglasses with Kenneth Cole written on the sides, which I like because my dad's name is Kenneth.-- susi 7/18/2006
Kenneth is a great name to grow up with, Kenny to Ken or Kenneth. I hope to name a son after my father, because there aren't enough Kennys anymore. I worked at a daycare recently and no Kennys.-- susi 7/18/2006
Although the name Kenneth is nice, if you plan to name you son this there's a good chance his girlfriends will be nicknamed "Barbie". I have a friend who dated a Kenneth.-- indigopearl 8/2/2006
Kenneth - a great name! These people would agree: Kenny Loggins (Rock artist), Kenny Rogers (Vocalist), Kenny Chesney (Country artist), Kenny G (Jazz Sax player), Kenneth Copeland (Christian evangelist), Ken Lay (Enron founder), Kenn Duncan (NYC Photographer), Kenneth Graeme (Author), Kenneth Hagin (Christian evangelist), and Kenny (South Park cartoon character).-- Kenn 9/9/2006
Hate this name for some odd reason! It just reminds me too much of the Ken doll, and I never really like Ken anyway.-- Anonymous User 2/3/2007
It's just such a typical name. No originality.-- peerlesser 2/15/2007
Kenneth McCormick is the full name of the South Park character "Kenny" (who is famous for his orange parka and always dieing).-- Anonymous User 5/2/2007
This name is very common for grown-ups, but not so common for young kids. Maybe this should be used for little kids for a change!-- CharlieRob 5/6/2007
What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" is a song by the rock group R.E.M. from their 1994 album Monster. In October 1986 two men assaulted Dan Rather on Park Avenue NYC. One of them kept shouting "Kenneth, what's the frequency?" William Tager, the vocal assailant, later insisted that he was sent from the future in a parallel universe. He said that everyone from that universe has a double in this one in the past, and that he mistook Rather for his double, Vice President Kenneth Burroughs. He said that Kenneth knew the secret TV/radio wave frequency that was being used to block Tager from returning home. Nutty, huh? The song is awesome, though.-- VictoriaCalledTori 6/12/2007
I hate this name. It isn't original, it isn't classic.-- Anonymous User 11/25/2007
I have to say that I agree with the last comment. In my honest opninion, I think that Kenneth is probably one of the worst names around. When I picture a guy named Kenneth, all I can think about is this stuck-up, annoying and arrogant jerk with no sense of humor and a very low IQ.-- Anonymous User 11/26/2007
Kenna is a feminine form of Kenneth. So are Kendra, Kendall, McKenzie, Kenzie and Kennette. By the way, the English verb, ken, means "to know", and has been used in archaic poetic English to mean, "to love", as in the Bibilical, "and Adam knew Eve". Kent is an alternative name for a boy if your looking for a related male namesake.-- leananshae 11/27/2007
Kenneth Robert McCuaghey is one of the McCaughey septuplets. His parents aren't famous, but he's pretty close to being.-- Patricia Underwood 3/23/2008
Come on, this name isn't that bad. It's not one of my favorites, but it is a rather handsome name. I'd rather see a little Kenneth than another little Justin, Joshua, or something like Cody or Aidan. And you can't say it's not a classic, being that it is so old. At least it's not creative or trendy.-- queenv 4/18/2008
Kenneth is the only name in the world that is defined as a Pictish name.-- Kazuya 8/25/2008
