Lainie was the troubled crazy girl in the book Freeze Tag. That kinda ruined the name for me.

I first heard Lainie in an old 80's movie, with Cory Haim and Cory Feldman. It was called, "Dream a little Dream." The "hot" girl was an actress named Meradith Salanger. She was so pretty and her name was Lainie. I always liked it. And it was different. My grandmother also loved it as it was the name of an actress in the 50's named Lainie Kazan. She said it was a very classic and glamorous name. I think so. And I love how I spell it.

Lainey is a character in Charles de Lint's 2008 novel, "Dingo". Really awesome book. She also has a twin sister named Em.
