I think May is a very sweet name. I know a Lauren May and a Shannon May. I think it's nice as a middle name, nicer as a first name and also as a nickname for Maia.

A famous bearer of this name (as a surname) is Brian May. He was the guitarist from the band Queen. "Our Only May Amelia" is an award-winning children's book that I read when I was young. The protagonist is a twelve-year-old girl named May Amelia (obviously). I think May Amelia is a great combination.
