My name's Atasha--a form of Natasha. It's kind of ironic for me because 'Natasha' means born on Christmas, when in fact, I was born in the dead center of the summer--August 8th.

My name is Natasha and I've always liked it! That said only new acquaintances call me Natasha as all my family and friends call me Tasha or Tash, both of which are pretty swish and seem to suit me. If you like this name and hate the name Nevaeh, you can name your daughter Natasha and have fun by telling all those people who tell you that they named their daughter Nevaeh because it's 'heaven' spelled backwards that you named your daughter Natasha because it's 'ah Satan' spelled backwards! My second-oldest sister is named NaTHasha, which my mom got from this name. She was talking with her friends about baby names when she was pregnant with my sister, and one friend, who had a very bad cold, suggested Natasha. My name is Natasha and I love it. My mum was stuck between Natasha and Natalie but chose Natasha in the end. It means 'Christmas born' which was one of the main reasons she chose it as I was supposed to be born in Christmas day but ended up five weeks early instead. However, I'm usually referred to as Tasha or Tash - even by teachers - as Natasha is a rather long name and it tends to be easier to say Tasha than Natasha. Also for the record, I don't have green eyes or natural red hair. And the whole “ah-satan” thing is silly. My mum is a devote Catholic and doesn’t care about it.
