I was looking through Chinese names for a story I'm writing, and my hero's name is Jian-Shun. "Strong, smooth/agreeable." I think that reflects the warrior's personality/disposition quite well.

Considering that "shun" is a word that means to deliberately avoid. It makes me think of shunning. This name may look fine in Chinese, but in English it sounds ridiculous and depressing.
