Comments for URI:
From what I know Uri means 'my light' rather than just 'light'. 'Ur' being the old Hebrew word for light (nowadays pronounced 'Or', also 'Nur' in Arabic). The 'i' at the end (thus 'Uri'), suggests belonging - hence 'my light'. Another example: 'Daniel', 'el' meaning god in Hebrew, 'dan' meaning judge (or 'to judge'), 'i' meaning me, or mine. Hence Daniel meaning God is my judge. [noted -ed]-- Anonymous User 6/13/2005
