Caucasian Languages

The Caucasian languages are the (unrelated) languages spoken in the Caucasus region between Europe and Asia. Several language families are spoken in the region.

Language families that are unique to the region:

The first two are sometimes grouped together into the North Caucasian language family.

Other language families represented in the region are Indo-European (including Ossetian, Armenian and Russian) and Turkic (including Azerbaijani and Turkmen).
