Hangul Alphabet

The Hangul alphabet is the alphabet used to write the Korean language. It was developed in the 15th century by the king Sejong the Great. The alphabet coexisted with the Hanja characters for several centuries. It became the sole official script of North and South Korea in the 20th century.
