Comments for ÁEDÁN:

Of Irish origin, meaning 'warm'.

Where do people get the idea that it means warmth? It comes from Aed which means Fire. Probably meaning something along the lines of Little Fire, being Aed with a suffix of an or en or in which usually indicates in Gaelic names that something is small, little.

It probably denotes a child that has some spunk, or a fiery temper. Or maybe a spiritual connotation.
