Means "an ideal" and would give an impression of the person being a deep thinker. Just giving the meaning "thought" is not descriptive enough I think.

I think that the word for "an ideal" would perhaps be aate. But Aatos isn't an everyday word. It's old-fashioned or poetic to me at least.
