Adélaide is actually pronounced A-DAY-LA-EED in French. [noted -ed]

The pronunciation is written wrong. It's actually ad-DAY-ly-EED. And I can tell you right now, though, it's a very weird way to say the name and I personally wouldn't suggest it.
