This name sounds so authoritative. I picture a powerful, impressive and formidable man with a booming voice that automatically assumes command when I hear it. It might be awkward on a small child who is not old enough to be a formidable bada--, but still this is one of the coolest sounding names ever.
The other thing is, the Iliad character who bears this name, isn't the best character. He's described as having "the face of a dog and the heart of a rabbit."
Weird pronunciation.
I like how firm and authoritative this name is. Agreed it wouldn't sit right on most children, although it would be less out of place on a little Greek boy than on most, but it would be a pretty impressive name on a grown man!
I like that there are nine letters, and every three are palindromes. But the meaning and sound of the name and the story of the character lead me away from it. Still lots of fun to look at.
Not recommended. Would be a very obnoxious choice for a child. Maybe it would be used for the children of those really obsessed historians.
