This is my given name (I go by my middle name), I was named after my dad, who went by Alex. As a kid, I didn’t like being called Alejandro because people only used it in a disciplinary manner against me, and because I’m from a southern state, it would often be badly mangled in pronunciation (“Al-LEE-hahn-drow”), but it’s nothing against the name itself. I think it’s a nice name for anyone of Latino or Hispanic origin.
Alejandro is a handsome name. I know an Alejandro. He’s handsome, and one of the kindest people I’ve met. He puts others before himself, strong-willed, and determined. My favorite things about him are his big heart and his smile. So...I like the name Alejandro. I’ll never forget the one I know.

I simply enjoy saying this name; Alejandro has a certain rhythm to it that I can't deny I love. A great boys name.
A handsome strong choice for anyone with a Latino/Hispanic background!
I have a love/hate relationship with the name Alexander; some days I find it immensely sturdy and handsome, while other days I think it sounds bland and weak. Alejandro, however, doesn't tend to falter from its place in my mind as an intriguing, durable name. My one annoyance is when it is used on a person who shares no heritage of it's origin... Alejandro is a big name, and if it is paired with a surname that doesn't match the ethnicity, it looks off-balance and potentially pretentious.
In Spanish the J sounds like an H. I still love my name in spite of Lady Gaga but to her credit at least she pronounces it properly.
I adore this name. Masculine and strong, but not too rough, and it has an unusual "rythmn" to it, if you get what I'm saying. Should I ever marry a Spanish man, I can guarantee it'll make an appearance.

No it's not. Alexander is WAY more better, manly, beautiful sounding. Alejandro is in my opinion, ugly.
I love this name because I have never met an Alejandro that's ugly. Note that this name is really common where I live. All the Alejandros I have met are really handsome and have great personalities. My brother's name is Alexander but since I remember he has always wanted to be an Alejandro.
