Every women named Alexandra in the russian royal family are in someway unlucky. Example: all girls born in the Romanov died before age 21 however, women who marry in the Romanov family are unhappy and/or sick.
There is also Alexandra of Bavaria who had mental illness, she also thought she swallowed a glass piano.

Alexandra was the name of the last Empress of Russia. She was given the name Alix at birth but changed it to Alexandra upon her marriage to Nicholas II. She was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Her husband was forced to abdicate during World War I and sixteen months later they were both murdered by Bolsheviks along with all five of their children. She was a very beautiful woman and this is a very beautiful name, which deserves to be frequently used, in spite of the Empress' tragic history.
