Alina is one of the unusual and not common names in Russia as well. There are two pronunciations of this name one is with AH-lina and another is with first "a" pronounced as in Adam or Evan. And of course there is a famous and very old Russian name Alena with "E" in it pronounced as in YOrk.
To me it sounds very gentle and beautiful, a light heared fear skin princess?!

My best friend spells her name Aleena, but that variant is not on this site. She was born in Pakistan, but she says that most people there with her name spell it Alina. I think both ways are very beautiful, but I prefer Aleena to Alina.
