In Dungeons & Dragons, there’s an elven goddess named Angharradh. The name is probably based on this one. Much like the mythological Angharad, she’s the lover of a knight (Corellon, the head of the elf pantheon).
Angharad Rees (1944-2012) was a Welsh actress and, later, jewellery designer. She was probably best known for playing Demelza in the 1975 television adaptation of Poldark.
Angharad, or "The Splendid Angharad" (portrayed by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), is the favored wife of the warlord antagonist in George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
Angharad is the full first name of the heroine of The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. She goes by the nickname 'Harry' most of the time.
The lovely Maureen O'Hara played a character by this name in "How Green Was My Valley" in the 1940's.
Name of the mother of Princess Eilonwy of the House of Llyr in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles.
Angharad is also the name of one of the main characters in Richard Lewellyn's very popular novel 'How Green Was My Valley', made into a film by John Ford in 1941. Her character was played by Maureen O'Hara.
