Worst nickname for this is Ant.
My name is Anthea, my whole life people have had the hardest time saying my name. It's literally An-The-A so for short everyone calls me Thea! Or Anna, I never find my name on anything cool on vacation, or anywhere ever. It's quite bumming, but I love my unique name and encourage others to name their baby girl Anthea too! Lol. Cause I bet you in the long run your daughter will appreciate the unique beauty in her name and love that you went out of your way to call her something a little different.
My name is Anthea, I've always thought it to be a horrible name but somehow it grew on me. People find my name hard to pronounce so they call me Thea or Annie for short. I was also told that my name means "lady of flowers", and I do see the beauty in everything. However, I have become fond of my name because I too thought it had originated from the Greek goddess "Athena".
It is a lovely name! I have 3 daughters, but if I was to have another I would definitely put this in my top 5 name choices to debate with my husband.
Beautiful name! It reminds me of Athena, but more usable. And you could use the nicknames Ann, Annie, or, my personal favourite, Thea.
I love this name, it's romantic, feminine and kind of exotic. Don't remember where I discovered it, but I've always spelled it Anthaea.
Beautiful. It could be used as a combination of Ann and Thea.
What a lovely name! It's cheerful, yet it has an almost wistful quality to it. Anthea is just a very pretty name.
How utterly gorgeous. Pronunciation, meaning, history - everything.
It looks like a beautiful name. It reminds me of the name Aretha.
