Comments for the name Antonius

Iullus Antonius was the youngest son of Mark Antony by his third wife Fulvia. He was raised by Augustus' sister Octavia after his father commited suicide in 30 BC. Iullus was praetor, consul and Asian proconsul. He also wrote twelve volumes of poetry, which have survived today. He is probably most famously known as being Julia Augusti's, daughter of Augustus, lover. He was the only one of her lovers put to death. He commited suicide before doing so in 2 BC.
