He is best known for being a member of the southern hip hop duo Outkast alongside André 3000. This looks like what some illiterates might name a baby. It's also hideous looking. And starting with 'ant' doesn't help it. The only times I've heard people pronounce it (in Ohio), they stress the first syllable, not the second.

I can't quite put my finger on what makes this such a silly name, maybe it's the fact that (to me) it looks like it should be pronounced 'ANT-WAN'.

When parents pick a name like this for their child, it makes me wonder if they specifically don't want the child to be successful. People will assume that either the person himself or the parents are bad spellers. This spelling makes the person and his parents alike look uneducated.
