I always want to put a (sic) right next to it! It's like naming someone Morreess, or Brewce!

It seems like someone misspelled Antoine or something. It's like naming your child Aleksandurr or Mareeuh.

What they said. This has to be one of the worst mis-spellings out there.

This name is also used in the Netherlands, where Antwan is strictly a phonetical spelling of Antoine.

When parents pick a name like this for their child, it makes me wonder if they specifically don't want the child to be successful. People will assume that either the person himself or the parents are bad spellers. This spelling makes the person and his parents alike look uneducated.

This name looks very low class. Just stick to Antoine, please.

This is the first name of an character in the teen show "One Tree Hill", but the guy goes by the nickname 'Skills'. The actor who plays 'Skills' is also named Antwan (Antwan Tanner).

I can't quite put my finger on what makes this such a silly name, maybe it's the fact that (to me) it looks like it should be pronounced 'ANT-WAN'.

What an ugly misspelling of Antoine. Making "phonetic" spellings does not always work.

This looks like what some illiterates might name a baby. It's also hideous looking. And starting with 'ant' doesn't help it. The only times I've heard people pronounce it (in Ohio), they stress the first syllable, not the second.

The name Antwan was given to 112 boys born in the US in 2015.
