Arjan

Variant form of Arian, which itself is a variant form of Ariaan, which is a short form of Adriaan. In other words: Adriaan --> Ariaan --> Arian --> Arjan.

Out of Arian and Arjan, the former was the most popular of the two for many decades, until Arjan began to rise in popularity in the early 1960s. Arjan eventually eclipsed Arian and has been the most popular of the two ever since. See the popularity statistics for the two:
