Azazel was a character in Supernatural, where he was the main Demon and worked to open the gates of hell onto the world. There was also an Azazel in a miniseries called Fallen, which is also about Nephilim. He was a fallen angel who ended up chained to a stone slab underground for several millenia. If I remember correctly, he also had a particular fondness for french fries.
I have a ferret named Azazel, nicknamed Azael (Az-EEL). I find it to be a fitting name for ferrets and other pets considered "bad," "wild," or "evil."
However, I really don't think it would be a good name for a human. For a human, it'd be like naming a kid Satan.

Sounds like a a cheesy magician or a cleaning product. "Prepare to be dazzled by the amazing Azazel! On the count of three, Azazel will say the magic spell and make this card disappear!"
