The name Azubuike means to be courageous in face of opposition, and that courage comes from your background and back up.

The truth here is that, translating these names -most Igbo names- in English does not really give them their strength and full meaning, as Igbos believe that the name people bear has can determine their destiny, (this might be some kind of self-fulfilling prophesy -in some cases happens so).
I will use an analogy to illustrate the true meaning of Azubuike. Take for instance in computer, you are advised to backup your file should anything happen so you can fall back to the files you have backed up already.
Azubuike simply means that the people one has 'behind'-siblings, kindred, family etc- is greater.
