Bento is also a Japanese style of preparing/packing lunch that has gotten pretty popular in the West recently. It might be a weird thing to name your kid.

Bento is the traditional Portuguese form of Benedito, rather than a short form - both Benedict XVI and Baruch Espinoza are called "Bento" in Portuguese.
