Berhta

This was the original form of Bertha, and somehow the 'h' and the 't' were switched, creating a 'th' diphthong, and changing the pronunciation from BER-tah to BUR-thuh. I have to say, the Bertha pronunciation is growing on me, but I must say that Berhta, while a bit less practical, is prettier.
