Comments for the name Berk

Old kids TV show the Trap Door, there was a Berk in it. The big blue monster.

Berk is a very unique name and it's easy to spell.

I would never call a child Berk, I'm afraid. I use it as an insult, and doubtless others would too.

It seems rather strange that this is a personal name, it is also a French interjection expressing disgust. It actually does not sound bad in French (nothing ever seems to, anyway), but I do not think I could ever bring myself to employ this name due to this association.

I really pity anyone named this due the rhyming slang associated.
