I love this name, when said the Irish way (BREE-jə). (I really wouldn't like it if someone mispronounced it as "Bride" though.) Bríde sounds lovely, homely and traditional. I also think Bríd is pretty, but it's rather drab. Bríde is more interesting. It would make a nice change from the rather mundane Bridget. Don't get me wrong - I like Bridget as well but it's way too common. Bríde would be a lovely alternative.
