As an English verb, "Brock" means "taunt."
The modern Irish word for badger is broc. I'm pretty sure.
I was told that the meaning is "to badger" not just the aminal. Used in a sentence "thow shall brocc me for thine answer?" or "The baby is broccing to get out."
