It is just a nickname for preppy types - usually blonde, blue-eyed wearing high end clothing. Buffy H graduated top ten in our class, cheerleader and track star - now a Dr and still goes by Buffy to her friends and family. Don't knock a name because of a movie or short lived TV show.
