I love the name Cecilia, but this spelling makes me think of caecilians, an aquatic amphibian that looks like a big worm. Some people keep them as pets. It actually might be kind of cool on a woman who really does keep pet caecilians!

This is definitely NOT pronounced shae-CEE-lia. I'm German and we pronounce it just like Cecilia (it sounds a tiny bit different but pretty much the same).

I was born in Berlin, and Caecilia happens to be my name, and they pronounce it shae-see-lia.
