Caradoc (d. 1124) was a Welsh nobleman who is a saint in the Roman Catholic Church; his name day is 13 April.
The ancient church in the Pembrokeshire village of Lawrenny is dedicated to him.
This is the middle name of British actor Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy, Skins, X-Men First Class, etc). Nicholas Caradoc Hoult.
It's not really famous but this is the name of hill in Shropshire, England (Welsh border). The hill itself is said to be named after a Celt that fought the Roman invaders but was captured and taken to be a slave in Rome. When the slaves arrived, exhausted and weak, they were paraded through the streets but unlike the others Caradoc kept his head high and refused to lower it, even when beaten, because he was a proud warrior. His pride and integrity impressed the Romans and he was cheered by the crowd and freed by his captors. It's probably not historically accurate but it's a nice local tale.
On the show 'Jane and the Dragon' there is a King Caradoc.
