I SO wish this name was more common. It needs to rid itself of the pale and ghostly connotation from that outdated cartoon. Casper is a really cool name, plus if a guy wanted to, he could go by Cass. The names Cassidy and Cassandra are popular for girls, so I really hope this one day makes a comeback.
