Very cute as a nickname-as it was intended to be.
Keep it as a nickname.
The brother's name should be Meow.
Meow! So cute! Although I do prefer Kat, this is also totally okay for a nickname of Catherine!
Actually, I like this as a standalone name as opposed to a nickname. It sounds cute, and I wouldn’t be embarrassed to introduce myself as “Cat”.
Really cute nickname. I love it.
Well I mean, you wouldn't name your child elephant right? I think this would be good for a character or a nickname but I don't think it should be the actual name of a human being.
Meow! Good for a Cat, get it? LOL.
Cute!
On a boy it sounds terrible, but on a girl it sounds nice. I prefer Kat though.Meow.
Mee-mow! I like Kitty, too. Cat is a decidedly cool nickname though.
Cat can also occasionally be used as a diminutive of Christopher, Christian, Christine, Christina, or Christiana.
Meow.
Adorable nickname for Catherine!
Cat Valentine from Victorious (Ariana Grande).
Cat Stevens (born Steven Demetre Georgiou) is a British singer-songwriter.
I don’t think of cats at all. It’s a nice nickname for Catherine!
I personally wouldn’t want to name a child Cat, maybe it could be a nickname for Catherine though, but there is nothing wrong with someone called Cat. Cute name. I’d never dream of using it for a male, though. It’s very feminine.
I love the name Cat, for a girl. It seems too cutesy for a dude. It’s cute as a name for a kitty named Catherine.
I like the name Cat, but I can't actually picture this for a boy. I've only heard girls with this name. But that's okay I guess, since it has a similar sound and spelling as "Kit", which is a unisex name too. About the animal association, no problem at all! Cats are a beloved animal group. I'm aware that some people are afraid of cats, or are allergic to them. But, as long as cats are adored by most people, naming your child Cat shouldn't cause any problems. I've heard the name so long now, I don't even think about the animal. I find it to be a genuine name.
