Catharine Alice MacKinnon is an American radical feminist, scholar, lawyer, teacher and activist. Born in Minnesota, MacKinnon attended Smith College and earned her J.D. and Ph.D. from Yale University. She is the Elizabeth A. Long Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School.
Catharine Esther Beecher (1800-1878) was an American educator. She was the oldest child of Lyman Beecher and an older sister of Harriet Beecher Stowe.
Cosette's doll is named Catharine in "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo.
St. Catharine's College is a College of the University of Cambridge. I'd love to go there, which is hardly a secret to my friends.
