Comments for CEFERINO:
Ceferino is also the Galician form of Zephyrinus.-- Lucille 7/14/2008
Ceferino is a variant of CÉFIRO (note the accent over the "e"). "Céfiro" means "zephyr", the Western Wind (or Wind from the West, people don't seem to agree).-- ely_riverbank 4/17/2011
Ceferino is pronounced three ways in Spanish: either "sheh-feh-REE-no" (soft "sh" like in Shirley), "theh-feh-REE-no" or "seh-feh-REE-no".
It's the same with Céfiro:
SHEH-fee-ro
THEH-fee-ro
SEH-fee-ro
The pronunciation depends on whether the "c" is pronounced correctly or not, whether the speaker hisses or lisps. The last pronunciation in both names is the most widespread.-- ely_riverbank 4/17/2011
