I like this name. It's like saying someone will live a long time! It should be for someone born during the summer though.

In 4 years of living in Japan plus a few more years of making friends with various Japanese people, I've never heard of this name except on this site. Knew 1 Minatsu and a few people named Natsuko or Natsumi or Natsuki, but not Chinatsu. Rare name.

In the manga "Mademoiselle Butterfly" by Akane Ogura, one of the main characters, who's a boy, is named Chinatsu. He's a tattoo artist! XD

Don't be fooled by the "china" in Chinatsu. The "china" portion is not pronounced like China. It is pronounced chee-nah-tsoo.

I really like Japanese names, especially this one, because each part has its own meaning. This name in particular seems cool to me and I like its meaning, so while I would personally not use it, it is a great name in my opinion.
