Christopher Scott “Chris” Kyle (1974-2013) was a U.S. Navy SEAL who served four tours of duty in Iraq and was given several military medals for his acts of heroism. Considered to be one of the best snipers in American history, he wrote an autobiography called “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. History” which became a New York Times bestseller. In 2013, he and his friend Chad Littlefield took the PTSD-plagued former Marine, Eddie Routh, on a retreat to help him with his mental illness; but Routh fatally shot them both. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Chris Kyle will always be remembered and honored as a hero.
