Captain Cyprian Southack (1662-1745) Known for his early New England maps, his naval service, and his involvement with early Massachusetts government. One of his maps helped archeologists to find the pirate ship "Whydah" in the mid-1980s.
Admiral Sir Cyprian Bridge (1839-1924), who headed British Naval Intelligence. He was named after his uncle Major Cyprian Bridge (1807-85), after whom Cyprian Bridge Island in the Pacific was named.
Great name, imho.
There was a great Polish poet and romanticist - Cyprian Kamil Norwid.
