I personally find nothing wrong with Delaney as a female name. It's bubbly and youthful and exhibits my personality well. It's a beautiful name with strong inherent meaning for male or female but it's particularly feminine in my opinion.
Delaney has been a male given name in our family for generations.
I have seen this used on a boy (born in 2000).
