Comments (Meaning / History Only)

The meaning is derived from the Sanskrit language as dhan + anjay, that is wealth + a collection. The other break up is dhanan + jay = winning wealth. But according to me, more than winning wealth the meaning in INDIAN philosophy means VICTORY OVER WEALTH, one who has transcended the material wealth and is beyond it (spiritually). It is best exemplified by great ARJUNA a Pandav king in the legendary epic Mahabharata.
This is a name of lord Krishna.
