My Czech great-great-great-great grandfather was named Dimitri.
The name Dimitri was given to 219 boys born in the US in 2016.
This name is also commonly used in Georgia. In fact, Dimitri is more common there than Demetre, which is the actual Georgian form of Demetrius. In Georgian, Dimitri is written as: დიმიტრი.
I will provide some sources that back this up. But first, you should know that the IPA transcription of the Georgian pronunciation of Dimitri is /dimitʼri/ : [noted -ed]https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E1%83%93%E1%83%98%E1%83%9B%E1%83%98%E1%83%A2%E1%83%A0%E1%83%98#Georgian (in English)Sources:
