Pronounced doh-rohn.

It's such a cute name. In David Edding's Belgariad and Mallorean books there is a really cute boy named Doroon.

In Israel there are quite a few names which mean "gift", like Shai or Matan, but I think Doron is the most elegant, and lately also rare, of them all.

(It's also my father's name, which is probably why it always gives me the impression of someone wise, quiet and calm.)

I have also known a couple of girls named Doron, but mostly this is a masculine name.

Dangerously close to the word Moron.

You wrote that the name is Greek, it's a Hebrew name, means "gift" in Hebrew.
Names with same meaning: Shai, Matan.
