The name of a town in New South Wales whose name was originally Don Dorrigo, from either the Gumbaynggirr word Dunn Dorriga, meaning "tallowwood tree", or from dundorrigo, meaning "stringybark tree".

Dorrigo Evans is the protagonist of Richard Flanagan's novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North, which won the Man Booker Prize 2014.
