Edmund

Edmund was a character in Shakespeare's King Lear.

Edmund or Eadmund (Within the Anglo-Saxon alphabet it was likely spelt ᚪᛖᛞᛘᚩᚾᛞ or Ædmund; fl. 1068 – 1069) was an English noble. He was the son of Harold Godwinson, King of England. His family was one of the most powerful in Anglo-Saxon England.

The SS Edmund Fitzgerald was an American great lakes freighter ship that sank in Lake Superior during a violent storm on November 10, 1975. All 29 men on board perished, and none of their bodies were ever recovered. A definitive answer to what caused the Edmund Fitzgerald's sinking has not been reached to this day.
