I like to pronounce this name with an emphasis on the second syllable and giving it an "ay" sound as in lady.

So, this is not the normal way to pronounce the name, but my wife is Eleni, and when her parents named her, they decided to pronounce it EL-in-eye, as her mother didn't want her to ever be called 'Lenny.'
