I would pronounce this as "AY-mer", or, in the original version (Éimhear), "AY-ver".

Here in Cork, Ireland it's EE-mur.

All over Ireland it is pronounced EE-mur; the Anglicized name does not need to have the same pronunciation as the original.

Could also undoubtedly be pronounced as ə-mer. Presumably as a nickname to names such as Emery, Emmett, Emerson, Emma, Emily, Emmeline, Emelia and so forth. I prefer it better for a boy though.
