This is a name often used in the former English Colonies of the Afro-Caribbean Islands like Jamaica, Trinidad, and so forth for men. I think it is a dashing and handsome name.

I can’t hear this name without thinking of Errol Flynn, but that is by no means a bad thing. Errol makes me think of a strong handsome man who fights for what is right, and though he sometimes breaks the rules he has a good heart. I just want to know why somebody would ruin this gorgeous man’s name by naming an owl Errol!

I really like this name. It is not common. Even better. This name is wonderful.

Errol the owl was named as such due to the name meaning 'wanderer'. Errol, as Harry Potter fans know, is the old owl who always gets confused.

Errol's a great name. Handsome and unique. I'd definitely consider it if I have a son. But in the meantime, I'd definitely use it for a character.

An OK name. It's not unlike the Turkish name Erol, which means "brave".

Sounds too much like "error", so I don't like it.
