Evalyn Walsh McLean (August 1, 1886 – April 26, 1947) was an American mining heiress and socialite, famous for reputedly being the last private owner of the 45-carat Hope Diamond.
This spelling makes it look like it would be pronounced as EEV-uh-lyn.
I prefer this spelling to Evelyn. It's sleeker.
I don't like the "a" in the middle. Although I like Eva better than Eve, I prefer the combo of Eve and lyn rather than Eva and lyn.
