Comments for FAITHE:
Do you spell the word Faith with an E on the end? No. So it's taking away the meaning, leave the poor names alone, they were fine before some stupid people changed them.-- Anonymous User 10/24/2006
I think Faithe looks pretty with the 'e' at the end.-- 7up 1/1/2007
How is this supposed to be pronounced? Fay-EETH, FAITH-ee? If you want to call your child "Faith" then do so! Why try to corrupt such a beautiful word?-- Anonymous User 2/6/2007
It's not TOO bad, I guess. The "e" is kinda random though. I think it would just confuse people. They might think the name's "Faith-ee". Not fun.-- scarletquillraven 3/23/2007
I HATE 'modern' English names, leave well enough alone and spell them like a normal person. Most of the 'modern English' names look like a two year old was trying to spell it. The only GOOD thing I can think of with the E on the end of this name is it makes it look almost Celtic or something. But that's it.-- Anonymous User 8/17/2007
Makes me think of 'wraith' for some reason. I don't know why. *shruggs*-- Anonymous User 8/17/2007
This rather looks like a pseudo-retro spelling of 'faith', and although no one who understands the logic of the spelling and pronunciation rules of the English language would pronounce the name wrong, the final 'e' is pretentious and redundant. Face it: she still has a tacky name that indicates that the parents are sappy Christians!-- slight night shiver 5/24/2008
Personally, I wouldn't name a child a vocabulary word spelt wrongly. As an English speaker, "Faithe" looks wrong to me, and I feel it's quite pretentious to use an obsolete spelling of "faith". Faith is already a beautiful name - it doesn't need any of these elaborations.-- Ailis 10/14/2009
